I was referred to Dr.Maller after seeing my current dentist about a loose crown, that was placed on my implant 7 years ago by a dentist located in Alamo Heights off Chichester Pl. The crown, wiggled two months after it was placed but since it was my first time ever getting an implant, I didn't know this was not normal. Of course, it progressively got worse and when it started to pop up, my current dentist warned that it could eventually break the pin inside the implant, and warrant a whole new surgery. I am so incredibly grateful that I was referred to Dr.Maller to help me with this problem. I didn't want to go back to the dentist that had not tightened/torqued the inner screw right from the onset, because I had lost faith in him. When I originally got the implant, the periodontist that placed it assured me that anyone could do the crown since it is such a simple procedure. Little did I know, it's not that simple because it involves more than just cementing a crown to the abutment. Dr. Maller examined my tooth and scheduled me right away for a procedure that involved no anesthetics but only time and patience. He was really easy to talk to and was upfront with me about what needed to be done, as well as the potential risks. A few days after meeting with him, he carefully drilled into the crown to locate the tiny little metal screw that wiggled and literally tightened it with his fingers and using a special wrench thing to torque it. This only took 38 minutes and I was able to be at work that day by 9:00am. Before working on my tooth, Dr. Maller offered to write to the previous dentist and inform him of what needed to be corrected as in most cases a dentist/periodontist is willing to correct his/her work. However, I declined because after spending time with Dr.Maller and receiving the explanation as to what was most likely going on in my mouth, I didn't want to go back to Chichester Pl; the piece of mind in knowing that my health and well being was in good hands is worth more to me than trying to save $$ . I highly recommend San Antonio Periodontics and Implants and would definitely use them again. Everyone I met and interfaced with at this office from Angela, the Office Manager, to Juanita, the assistant who helped during my procedure is OUTSTANDING.

I was referred to another periodontist but I heard about Dr. Maller- and he was able to get me in much sooner. I am so glad I went!! He was so professional and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable in the midst of explaining I need surgery. Valerie was patient and kind and explained things I didn’t understand. Sabrina was amazing and really went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable with everything and I knew what next steps were. Highly recommend this office!

When I need to see a periodontist I drive from Austin to San Antonio to see Dr Stalker due to his extensive overall experience and especially his experience with holistic practices. I saw him a few years back concerning a ceramic zirconia dental implant. Austin specialists typically recommend titanium implants which I did not want, and the few who do ceramic ones have not done many. Dr Stalker has extensive experience with ceramic implants and has gotten consistently good results over many years. Recently, I saw him because of bone loss due to recession that showed up in routine dental X-rays. Many periodontists would recommend bone grafts for my situation, so I wanted someone with extensive experience to look at it. I again went to see Dr Stalker who assured me that my situation would not be problematic going forward, and there was no need for bone grafts. Picking the right specialist makes all the difference.

I have to admit, I was very nervous when I went in to see Dr.Stalker but my concerns quickly disappeared when he walked into the room. He called me by my name and made me feel like he was really concerned about my condition. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends. Wonderful, experienced professionals who know their stuff. I am very pleased with their care and also was budget conscious and let me know ahead of time what insurance covered that way there wasnt any surprises. Also did amazing job coming up with a care plan with the costs in mind before slamming the outrageous cost of dental repair.

Dr. Maller is awesome! He and his staff are so very friendly, and they always make you feel relaxed and welcome into their office. And the implant work that he completed was beyond beautiful! It was absolutely painless and there were no lingering issues. His impeccable dentistry was the perfect collaboration and foundation for my regular dentist’s crowns. Now I have a mouth full of teeth and a beautifully natural smile... again. I cannot thank Dr. Maller (and my regular dentist) enough for quashing my fear of the dentist’s office and allowing me to smile without covering my mouth with my hand!! Thank you! Thank you! Very professional dentists in every way. Take the time to explain all options. Considerate and caring. I know I can trust their advice. Their recommendations are made with healthy teeth as their first concern, but are always aware of my budget. My teeth and gums have never been in better shape. Dr. Maller is simply the best periodontist I’ve ever encountered. He takes the time to explain exactly what needs to be done, he is always concerned with my comfort, and does exceptional work. I’ve had him fix work done by previous dentists who just weren’t in his league. I have to travel 50 miles each way to visit his office - it’s well worth the trip.
