Dr. William H. Stalker, DDS, MS, is a highly accomplished periodontist with a distinguished career spanning military service and private practice. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1944, Dr. Stalker graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1966. Following his service in Vietnam, he pursued his passion for dentistry, enrolling at the University of Indiana School of Dentistry in 1970. Graduating third in his class in 1974, he went on to complete a general practice residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio in 1975. 

Dr. Stalker furthered his expertise in periodontics by completing a residency at the U.S. Army Institute of Dental Research at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from George Washington University during this time. His military career included numerous assignments as a periodontist, culminating in his retirement as a colonel in 1986. 

In 1987, Dr. Stalker transitioned to private practice, taking over Dr. Claude Naber’s periodontal practice. Over the next 23 years, he built a reputation for excellence in periodontal care. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 1983, Dr. Stalker was honored with induction into the American College of Dentists in 2003, recognizing his contributions to the profession. 

Dr. Stalker’s academic achievements include publishing several articles in professional journals and co-authoring a textbook in 1990, further solidifying his impact on the field of periodontics. 

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Stalker enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family. His hobbies include scuba diving and photography, pursuits that reflect his adventurous and creative spirit.
